BSR is a linehaul railroad, meaning that we are not a switching or handling carrier for Union Pacific, but an entirely separate railroad for billing purposes. Prospective shippers should contact BSR's headquarters in West Chester PA or David Lee to discuss the creation of new linehaul rates, either "through rates" that include all inehaul carriers in one invoice, or "Rule 11 rates" that cover just BSR's portion of a movement.
